About:

Heather Welsh is an artist and writer from York, England. She completed an Art and Design Foundation Course at The University of Loughborough before going on to study Fine Art, History of Art and Linguistics at The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.

After graduating in 2009 she spent some time traveling around Europe and North America and is planning to begin a masters in Art Writing starting this September.

Heather writes poetry and short stories, blogs, takes photographs and draws too. She is inspired by nature, lines, forms and the ephemeral. Her favourite artists are Andy Goldsworthy, David Hockney and Henri Matisse. Her favorite musicians are Belle & Sebastian, Radiohead and The Knife.
